Instead, we should see what the inspiration of the Bible has produced, and then infer from that the nature of inspiration. Whatever inspiration is, it is not verbal. We cannot regard inspiration as extending to the very choice of words in the text. In terms of the alternatives just examined regarding the phenomena, Harrison’s view seems most adequate.
